Cecchi Delgea
HISTORY AND PROFILE
Cecchi Delgea was born in 1936 in Turin, becoming famous for the quality of the fatty creams with selected raw materials. The company’s success came in the 1950s when the first production plant was opened that allowed the company to make ice cream on sticks, cones, biscuits and buckets sold in Piedmont and Liguria. In the 1970s, at the height of its success, Cecchi Delgea was acquired by the Barilla group and merged into the Italgel Sme group with Motta and Alemagna. In 2014 Stefano Cecchi, heir to the founder, decided to revive the formulas of his grandfather and readjust them to contemporary standards.
In 2019 Holding Industriale acquires the majority of Cecchi Delgea which represents the first investment of HF&B, holding for the development of the food & beverage chain.
